Identify a faculty or staff member or an appropriate club leader (ex. President of your school’s “safe teen driving” club) to coordinate a seat belt checkpoint. “Click it & Ticket” is a play on words of the usual slogan of “Click it OR Ticket” in that CIAT rewards students at seatbelt checkpoints who arrive at school wearing their seatbelts with a “Citation of Good Behavior.” Students were found not to be wearing their seatbelts with a “Warning: Poor Choice” citation. For more information, contact admin@reducetncrashes.org

Complete:

Select the dates to host your event. Students who arrive on campus wearing their seat belts give candy such as smarties those not, give information on how seat belts save lives. Execute your “Click It & Ticket” event and present student incentive awards. Keep track of results.

Submit Points:

Have a photo or screenshots ready with students completing the activity and click “Submit Points.” Submit your final results from your seat checks.
