Volunteer to help educate children on passenger safety. Participants will volunteer to participate in Ollie Otter presentations, interacting with elementary school children to promote child passenger safety. Opportunities for Service Learning hours/credit may be available depending on your high school’s required curriculum. The Ollie Otter Booster Seat and Seat Belt program is grant-funded through the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO). The THSO has been integral in the inception and continued success of the Ollie Otter program.
Contact the guest speaker you have in mind who can discuss some aspects of teen driver safety and invite them to speak at your school.
We have included a list of guest speakers that are listed on THSO’s site, you are welcome to request one of them or a local speaker from your area.
Host a special guest speaker at your school on a teen driver safety topic. Points will be awarded based on the topic(s) covered.
