Question 1- What is your name and employer? Miles Holland, Dyer County Schools, Medical Center for the EMS
Question 2- What’s your job like and what does an average day on the job look like for you? Answering calls for people, safety of the schools
Question 3- How much time do you spend in a work zone or along a busy road? Only going through work zones but I am on busy roads to answer the call after wrecks have occurred
Question 4- Does it ever feel unsafe? Have you ever heard about or witnessed any accidents in a work zone? Yes and it is VERY unsafe
Question 5- Why is Work Zone Awareness Week important? It is bringing awareness to everyone because the workers trying to get home and see their families as well
Question 6- What advice do you want to give to teenage drivers? Reduce distractions like a phone or music when driving
Question 7- What is the most difficult part of your job? Sometimes you feel like you aren’t doing enough
Question 8- What is the best part of your job? The flexibility and going out a lot
Question 9- For our upcoming graduates, what route do you suggest for them to take to be a part of your team? Let your ego go. Be humble, you’ll need it
