Dedication of DUI Impairment Safe Driving Course

Project Description

At our first home football game of the season on August 23rd, Principal Bob Pritchard and our school administration officially dedicated a Side-by-Side vehicle, trailer, impairment goggles, safety cones, and other equipment—funded by The 24/7 Movement—to launch a Safe Driving DUI Impairment Program and Driving Course for CHS students. Members of our school dance team and cheerleaders, assisted in the presentation. During a special halftime presentation, we were honored to be joined by the Dillard family, including Preston, Pierce, and Pryor—survivors of a tragic Christmas Day crash that took the lives of their parents due to a drunk driver. Their presence served as a powerful and emotional reminder of the life-altering consequences of impaired driving and the importance of making safe choices—behind the wheel, as passengers, and as friends.
