Friday Night Lights Safe Driving Campaign

Project Description

Our cheerleaders and students took part in a traffic safety education outreach during a home football game vs. East Hamilton HS, bringing awareness to the importance of making safe choices behind the wheel. Between the first and second quarters of both the girls’ and boys’ games, a public service announcement was read by the game-day announcer while cheerleaders tossed free “Choices Matter” t-shirts into the crowd. The shirts featured the powerful slogan: “Buckle Up – Phone Down – Drive Sober.” In partnership with The 24/7 Movement, the following announcement was shared: “In memory of Dustin and Brittany Dillard, who were tragically killed by a drunk driver on Christmas Day 2022, the McMinn County High School Administration and The 24/7 Movement want to remind everyone—tonight on your way home, and every day—that: ‘Choices Matter – Buckle Up – Phone Down – Drive Sober.’” “Join the Movement & Drive Safe.”
