We took part in the Friday Night Lights Safe Driving Campaign during Cleveland High School’s home football game against Rhea County High School in September. To promote safe driving, our students that included the cheerleading squad tossed out 25 free “Choices Matter” T-shirts, reinforcing the importance of buckling up, putting phones away, and driving sober. At the same time as the t-shirts were being tossed, the PA announcer delivered a powerful reminder, encouraging students, parents, faculty and fans to make safety a priority on their way home that night—and every day—by following these lifesaving habits. Additionally, we partnered with The 24/7 Movement at their booth to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving.
