Our school, led by Drama Department Director, Lindsey Bell and more than 40 Bradley Students developed a script, produced, videotaped and acted in a live Mock Crash event for all Juniors and Seniors a few days prior to Prom. This specialized educational tool was designed to enlighten teenagers about the dangers of drunk, drugged, and distracted driving. This was a collaboration between the Bradley Central HS Drama Department, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, First Responders, The 24/7 Movement to craft a high-quality life event and video production of a mock crash event. The project aims to reduce crashes, injuries, and deaths among young drivers by visually demonstrating the real-life consequences of impaired driving. The message heard will be “Choices Matter”, Buckle Up, Phone Down, Drive Sober.
Also featured at the Mock Crash site was the Dillard SUV from the 2022 Christmas Day crash that claimed the life’s of Brittany and Dustin Dillard at the hands of a drunk driver which is the story behind The 24/7 Movement.
