Rivalry Nights: Basketball Game Safe Driving Campaign

Project Description

Our Cheerleaders invited and collaborated with the Cheerleading squads from Bradley Central High School, Cleveland High School and McMinn County High in a Safe Driving T-shirt Campaign during 6 Rivalry Basketball Games on 3 different HS campuses of Bradley, Cleveland and Walker Valley High Schools. Games took place during January & February of 2024. Cheerleaders from both schools playing each night tossed free “Choices Matter – Buckle Up – Phone Down – Driver Sober” t-shirts to both the home and visitor’s student sections following a Safe Driving Message from the Game Announcer during a break in the action. In Addition, students participated in The 24/7 Movement Booth promoting the Safe Driving Pledge, The I Will Not Be Silent Promise and Walk The Line w/Fatal Vision Goggles. More than 250 Safe Driving Pledges and I Will Not Be Silent Promises were made by students and parents during the 6 Rivalry Basketball Games. In addition, MIX 104 TV/Radio carried the games live on TV/Radio, sharing the same safe driving message as in the attachment.
