The Checkpoints Online Parent-Teen Driving Agreement Program is designed to provide parents and teens with a way to manage new teen driver risks. During the early months of independence (without parents) driving is very dangerous for teens. The Checkpoints Agreement allows teens and parents to work together to establish driving privileges that manage crash risk. Parents and students will set aside one hour to finish the Checkpoints program online. Working together, parents and students will establish driving privileges to reduce crash risks. At the conclusion of the one-hour training, families sign a prescriptive parent-teen driving agreement to address known new teen driving risks such as driving at night, driving with teen passengers, driving at high speeds on unfamiliar roads, driving in bad weather, and driving while impaired or unbuckled.
