Our program aims to make a meaningful difference by teaching teenagers how to overcome the inherent risks of novice driving through events with speakers, quizzes, interactive activities, and demonstrations. We have many event activities that teach teens everything from the dangers of distracted driving to the importance of wearing a seatbelt.
Below is a list of some of the activities we do at schools:
Pedal Kart Course with Drunk Goggles
Seatbelt Convincer (5-10 mph crash simulator)
Distracted Driving VR Experience
Sobriety Test Demonstration
Kahoot Interactive Safe Driving Quiz
You can request this program at your school by emailing me (Marissa Maurer), the event coordinator, at mmaurer2@utk.edu. We usually do events at schools that are less than an hour away from Knoxville.
