  • Pens or markers

Sign Up:

Start by requesting a banner or download a printable copy to use at your school. Clearly explaining the purpose of the activity. Highlight the importance of reducing crashes and creating safer road conditions in your community.

Complete:

Set Up the Activity Area:

  • Arrange a booth or designated area at a community event, school, or local gathering where people can easily access and participate in the pledge.

Educate Participants and Engage Participants:

  • Prepare informational brochures or handouts with statistics, safety tips, and information on the importance of responsible driving. Make sure participants have access to this material.
  • Have volunteers or staff members at the booth to engage with participants, answer questions, and provide information about traffic safety.

Take the Pledge:

  • Encourage participants to read the pledge statement and, if they agree, sign their name to commit to safer driving practices.

Promote the Pledge:

  • Encourage participants to share their commitment on social media with a designated hashtag (e.g., #SafeDrivingPledge) to raise awareness in the community.

 

Submit Points:

After the event, consider sending follow-up emails or messages to participants reminding them of their pledge and providing periodic tips and reminders about safe driving practices. This activity can be submitted 1 time per school.
