Shanna Fudge, the social worker assigned to Science Hill HS Alternative Center, organized 2 classes for students who are parents (or going to be) in order to teach them how to properly chose and install a child safety seat. Moms were in one class; dads were in the second class. Each were taught how the laws on children in child seats and leaving children alone in vehicles. Each were shown how to chose the proper seat, fit the child into the seat and how to install the seat properly. There is a need to add this to the Reduce Teen Crashes campaign. Young moms and dads don't know the law.
