On Thursday April 17,2014, we hosted a "Ghst Out" as a follow up to our mock crash on 04/16/2014. Tammy Aulidge with M.A.D.D. spoke to the juniors and seniors about losing her daughter and her daughters best friend in a car crash caused by a drunk driver. Both girls were students at Creekwood High School. Cheatham County Mayor David McCullough spoke to the studnets about the numer of DUI crashes that occur annually in Cheatham County as well as the number of teenagers killed in car crashes each year. The Ghost Out consisted of having the Grim Reaper remove a student from class, HAve their face painted white and not be able to interact with their friends for the remainder of the day. They were told to tell anyone who asked that they represent a DUI related fatality that occurres each day while the students are in school. We also had a casket for the fatality from the mock crash to represent the life that was lost by a drunk driver and not wearing your seat belt.
