Volunteer to help educate children on passenger safety. Participants will volunteer to participate in Ollie Otter presentations, interacting with elementary school children to promote child passenger safety. Opportunities for Service Learning hours/credit may be available depending on your high school’s required curriculum. The Ollie Otter Booster Seat and Seat Belt program is grant-funded through the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO). The THSO has been integral in the inception and continued success of the Ollie Otter program.
Create a pledge to never text and drive or find one you can use!
Step 1: Get Personal – Find a pledge that raises awareness and share it with your classmates.
Step 2 – Get Social – Share your experience on social media.
Step 3 – Get Moving – Create banners, flyers, or other creative ways to spread the message. Get others involved!
Have a photo or screenshots ready with students completing the activity and click Submit Points. This activity can be submitted up to 10 times per school.
